SENIOR INFORMATION LETTER
- ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES:
Only those seniors who are declared eligible may participate in commencement. Eligible students must earn 32.0 credits by Tuesday, June 3 at 3:00 p.m. to participate in the graduation practices and ceremony. If a student has less than 33.0 credits, they will be notified by their counselor; Mikaela Gronseth A-Ga, Margie Bannan Ge-N, Rose Waterfield O-Z.
- SENIOR TESTS:
All seniors are expected to be in regular attendance through the last day of classes and commencement practice on Friday, June 6, 2025.
TEST SCHEDULE: 1st - 3rd periods on Monday, June 2nd, 2025
4th - 6th periods on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025
- OBLIGATION LIST:
It is the responsibility of each senior to check with Mrs. Habersetzer about fines and obligations. If you have any fines or obligations, you will not be able to participate in the commencement ceremony until the fine and/or obligation is cleared by Mrs. Habersetzer in the Front Office-Payment Window. Please make checks payable to Centralia High School. Textbook/library book fines and/or any other obligations must be cleared by 3 pm Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. Fines and obligations are updated each day and for a copy of outstanding fines (books, uniforms, class fees, chromebooks, chromebook chargers, etc)-see Mrs. Habersetzer. A statement was e-mailed out to all parents who have an e-mail address in Skyward. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Habersetzer at (360) 827-6129.
- COLLEGE CLASSES/MAKE-UP CLASSES/RUNNING START STUDENTS:
Any student taking required classes at Centralia College or any other institution for high school credit will have their diploma withheld until a final certified transcript is received in the CHS Counseling Office. Students must make arrangements to be at both high school graduation rehearsals. Running start students must see Mrs. Christenson if there is a conflict between classes and graduation practice.
- REPORT CARDS:
Report cards will be mailed to your home by Tuesday, June 24th, 2025.
- SENIOR FEST:
This all-school assembly is designed to honor the graduating class and the accomplishments of its members including departmental honors. The event is planned for Friday, May 30th, Tiger Gym at 1 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend and share in the memories.
- SCHOLARSHIP/AWARDS PROGRAM:
A scholarship/awards program, at which scholarships and special awards are given to seniors, is planned for Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Centralia High School Performing Arts Center. This is by invitation only. Parents and students who are receiving awards will be formally invited to the event in early May and are encouraged to attend. If you have received any scholarships and would like them included in the graduation program, please submit information to Mrs. Waterfield [email protected].
- CLASS COMPS:
Friday, May 30th at Tiger Stadium 7pm
- BORST BANNER WALK:
Thursday, June 5th, 7-8pm on Borst Ave
- BACCALAUREATE SERVICE:
Attendance and participation in this nondenominational religious service are voluntary. The Centralia Ministerial Association is sponsoring the service on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Centralia Community Church of God. Parents, families, and guests of the 2025 senior class, as well as the CHS staff, are welcome to attend. Participating seniors must report to the church at 6:30 p.m. with their cap, gown, tassel, stole, and honor cords. Please iron gowns with a warm iron. If you are interested in helping to plan and/or organize this event, please contact Josh Rodland at [email protected] or Centralia High School at 360-330-7605 ext. 6057.
- PRACTICE:
Practices will be held at Tiger Stadium, Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at 8:00 am and dress rehearsal is Friday morning June 6th, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. (Students need to be in caps and gowns for dress rehearsal and will have pictures taken). All graduating seniors must be at both practices if they are going to participate in the commencement ceremonies. Any senior who misses a practice will not be allowed to walk at commencement. Seniors will be dismissed after the Friday practice.
- COMMENCEMENT: – FRIDAY JUNE 6th, 2025 at 7:00 P.M.:
All students must report behind the stadium by 5:30p.m. Remember to bring your cap, gown, tassel, stole, and honor cord. Unless you have prior permission from the principal, you should not have any decorations on your cap. Please have the gown ironed. Make sure to dress appropriately for this formal occasion. Out of respect for others, please leave your pets and noisemakers at home.
- PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS:
Katia Hudson Photography, 107 W Main Centralia, WA 98531, (360) 807-4563 will be at graduation. She will take two pictures of each graduate, the formal pictures as well as a picture of the class of 2025 will be during the morning practice Friday, June 6th. Friday night pictures of the ceremony will be taken. Prices and information will be sent home with the graduates Wednesday, June 6th, 2025 at the first graduation practice. The graduates should have order packets ready to turn in Friday evening June 6, 2025, as they pass the picture station.
- GRADUATION TICKETS (No Charge):
Tickets will be handed out to seniors at their first graduation practice, Wednesday, June 4th. Every graduating senior is allotted seven (7) tickets for grandstand seating for family and/or friends who wish to attend commencement exercises. If a senior needs additional tickets, reach out to fellow classmates to share any unused tickets, or contact Scot Embrey (360-870-3686). Please make sure that relatives and friends bring their tickets to ensure admittance. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets will be taken from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. We want all visitors to be seated and able to see and hear the ceremony. After 6:30 p.m., no ticket will be required to enter, and the ceremony will be open to the general public. Thank you for your cooperation.
- SENIOR PICNIC:
The CHS Senior Picnic will occur on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Millersylvania State Park. Bus transportation will be provided and only those students who ride the school buses will be permitted to participate in and attend the trip. Regular school policies and rules will be enforced. The buses will leave the high school at approximately 9:30 a.m. Busses will return by 2:30 p.m.
`16. SENIOR PROM:
Friday, May 31st, 2025, 8:00-11:00 pm. Tickets are $25 per person and will go on sale the week of May 22nd, during lunches in the CHS Commons. The last day to buy Prom tickets is May 30th. Senior Prom will be held at the Cedar Hills Acres Barn, 21903 Zenkner Valley Rd, Centralia Wa 98531. Any questions may be sent to [email protected].
- Diploma Pick Up – The diploma pick up times are Tuesday, June 10th, 12-3pm and Wednesday, June 11th, 9-12 or next Fall.
