Mr. Thorpe - Bridge/ML

Hi! I’m Mr. Thorpe, and I’m excited to be part of the Centralia High School community and to work with you this year. I’m a husband and dad who has spent most of my career working with young people as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and college advisor. I have a bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University and a master’s degree in Secondary Education, and I’ve spent more than 10 years coaching various sports at the high school and college levels.

Relationships are a huge part of who I am and how I teach. I enjoy sports, being with my family, reading, and getting to know what makes each person unique. I believe every student has strengths, interests, goals, and a story that matter far beyond a grade on a screen. My hope is that students know pretty quickly that I’m in their corner. I’ll encourage them, celebrate their progress, hold them accountable, and do everything I can to help them leave Bridge more confident and prepared for whatever comes next.
